WWDC15 saw the announcement of a unique app named “News” that brings personalized news to iOS 9 users. Curated and personalized content, this is what the new app promises to the people using iOS 9 running devices. The app takes data from the select news websites and presents it in a custom layout marked with opulent design. After users have installed the app, they will be asked to select websites, genres and publications they would want to read news from. The ‘For You’ section is where the Cupertino Company will start pushing the content you want to flick through. The content can also include videos, graphics, audio and images.

The News app is launching in the United States, followed by the release in Australia and United Kingdom. The Senior Vice President at Apple, Eddy Cue states, “News seamlessly delivers the articles you want to read in a beautiful and uncluttered format, while respecting your privacy, because Apple doesn’t share your personal data,” Publishers like ESPN, Time Inc., CNN, Bloomberg, The New York Times and Hearst are already onboard, as reported by MacRumors. As per the report, more than 50 publishers are expected to join Apple’s digital content syndication app, News.

Once the users have logged in and started using the app, the experience gets more and more refined as the app tailors the news items more precisely and specifically, based on what you like and dislike. Every publisher has a say in creating and deciding on the custom layout. Publishers can create a unique presentation as well as harness the iOS 9 completely to reach out to more and more users.
