It’s been a busy week for Apple as it plans not one, but two beta releases of It’s iOS operating system. How can Apple release two beta versions at the same time, you might ask? Well, it’s both, the iOS 8.4 Golden Master (GM) and iOS 9 Beta 2 that are stated to be released any time today.
iOS 8.4 public version will be released on June 30 and seeding a Golden Master of iOS 8.4 suggests that this will be the final beta version to be released before officially launching it for the public.
The iOS 8.4 Golden Master is often known as an almost perfect, bug free firmware since it is usually the same firmware that is seeded to the public, and in rare cases, there are some last minute bug fixes that need to be tested.
Along with iOS 8.4 Golden Master, iOS 9 beta 2 is also reportedly being scheduled for release today. However, if it does not release today by any chance, it will make its way on next week, Monday, June 29.
iOS 8.4 Golden Master will be the next iteration of iOS 8.4 beta 4 and it is 99.9% the final beta release before its seed, along with the launch of Apple Music.
In order to use Apple Music on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch, you will require iOS 8.4 version of operating system so it should be a no brainer that it will release before or during the launch of Apple Music.
While iOS 9 is still very much an immature version of Apple’s newest operating system, lots of bug fixes and battery draining issues will be fixed in the second beta, still not as stable as the iOS 8.4 Golden Master.
As soon as both the firmware versions see the light of the day, we will make an in-depth guide of how to install them on your iPhone, iPad and iPod touch.
