We were expecting the next generation iPhone to launch in the month of September, 2015 from a long time and though there is official announcement about the same, but we are expecting that the Cupertino giant will make announcement pretty soon. Along with the new iPhone, we are also expecting Apple to launch its range of new set top box i.e. Apple TV.
If we are to believe the latest rumors then the Apple TV is codenamed J34 which is going to be powered by an optimized edition of iOS 9. Moreover, iOS 9 will also have all the features of iOS platform, like Siri, App Store, more space to store and other features.
In WWDC 2015 we were expecting Apple to reveal about the Apple TV as well, but unfortunately we didn’t get to hear much from the makers. Later on we got to know that the manufacturers were having some problem with the content providers and so it could not launch the gadget. But reporters of 9to5Mac were of the opinion that Apple has delayed the launch of Apple TV because it wanted to give its engineers enough time to develop an iOS 9 that would be optimized in such a way that it works well in the TV, iPhone as well as in the tablets.
The Apple TV is expected to be much slimmer in comparison to its predecessor and will come a larger remote control with enhanced function keys. This remote control is going to come with physical keys as well as touch pad. Along with that there are also rumors that this remote control will have both Bluetooth and infrared connectivity. This remote control is also supposedly going to feature an audio that will help users to communicate with Siri.
There are also reports that the new Proactive function will be also present in Apple TV. In iPhone and tablets Proactive helps users to find out location and context sensitive infos. However, in case of Apple TV, Proactive will help us to search the name of shows, movies and other services.
The next generation Apple TV is expected to come with enhanced hardware components like extra storage space, faster and more powerful processor, better user interface and other enhancements. However, we are not sure whether it is going to feature the internet TV or not. The internet TV will actually replace the concept of cable TV. And we are expecting it to come not until next year. The launch of Apple TV could be delayed a bit as the company is now busy dealing with TV networks. Providing customers with superior experience has been the prime objective of this company and for that we might have to wait a little longer.
