The Apple has come up with a major add-on to its iOS 9 called the content blocker which will be available with the software updates for iPhones and iPads. The content blocker helps in preventing the advertising, trackers and other third-party scripts effortlessly for the first time.It comes in as an extension to the Safari browser. There was a test run for analyzing the ad blocking feature. Undoubtedly the ad blockers have the maximum impact on the news websites. But the major outcome of the test run was that this feature worked very efficiently for the publisher websites. It was observed that the loading time reduced to half of what is usually required, when this feature was enabled. According to the tests performed, the performance improvement was by 58 percent. One of the news channels CNN registered a performance boost up by 86 percent which is quite impressive.It is expected that due to this fast loading time, this feature might become popular among users.
