Amongst the thousands of speculations that surround iOS 9 right now, a very interesting one indeed is the introduction of HomeKit app. 9to5Mac has lately updated that iOS 9 is going to come with a new app called Home and its main functionality will be to control the Home Kit licensed accessories. That is to say with the help of this app, iPhone users can control some of the accessories of their home to which it is connected. This app supposedly has a yellow colored home icon.
Reporters speculate that the functionality of the app will be to discover HomeKit gadgets with the help of wifi and set up connection with such gadgets. Users can also see a virtual representation of their room with the help of this gadget so that they can easily recognize the HomeKit gadgets and establish connection with it. Moreover, a number of screens will be visible to the users so that they can find all the HomeKit gadgets and apps.
Just in case HomeKit app does not come with iOS 9, users can continue using Siri for controlling the HomeKit gadgets. We are hoping to see this new feature in iOS 9 next month in the WWDC. In this conference we are also hoping to witness the launch of much advanced Apple TV with better processor, sync it with Apple watch, allow third party apps and a better remote control with touch pad.
We can also expect some updates in Apple’s smartwatch OS like Find My Watch, that is going to make the gadget much more secure as the users would have the option of locking the gadget if it is stolen. Some enhancements in the health app is also expected in Apple’s smartwatch along with better Wifi connectivity and tighter integration with third party apps.
