iPhone’s battery is a big concern for all Apple users. If the phone starts showing low battery alert and you don’t have the charger nearby, then you have every reason to be concerned, specially if you are not planning to head back to your home any time soon. However, iOS 9 have an advantage over the other users. They can turn on the Low Power Mode, a new addition in iOS 9 to stop the gadget from dying down any time soon.
After turning on the Power saving mode some of the features or apps of the phone is going to get switched off automatically, specially those which consume a lot of energy. The sensors of the phone get automatically switched off once the low power mode is turned on, along with push notifications. The brightness of the phone is reduced and goes to sleep mode faster than the usual set time. Moreover, the speed of the processor is also reduced along with network speed as the gadget consumes a lot of battery for performing these functions.
Here is how to turn on the low power mode:
When the battery level of the phone reaches 20%, then the OS of the phone gives an alert whether the user wants to turn on lower power mode. If you ignore the alert at the first go, then the OS of the phone is going to again send a notification when the battery level reaches 10%. Simply clicking on yes, would turn on the power saving mode.
Just in case you want to turn on the Low Power Mode manually, here is the procedure to do it:
First, go to Settings.
Secondly, find out the Go To Battery option within Settings.
Thirdly, click on it and again click on Low Power Mode. Thereafter a pop up is going to appear on the screen asking the user to confirm whether he/she wants to turn on the battery saving mode. Click on it to turn on the LPM.
As soon as you turn it on, the color of the battery is going to change to yellow, thereby indicating that the LPM is on. In this way you can rest assured that your phone is not going to be dead at least for some more hours.
