Good news for all the iOS 9 Beta users!! Using the next generation mobile platform, iPhone 6 and 6 Plus users can use Apple Pay’s wallet without unlocking the screen. All they need to do is tap twice on the home button of the phone and get direct access to Apple Pay Wallet.
This is a feature that we will get to see in iOS 9. However, this feature has been first introduced in the Apple watch, where users have to tap twice on the power button to activate Apple Pay. Last year we have seen that in iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, Apple Pay becomes automatically active when the gadget comes within the range of active sale terminal. Thereafter, users have to confirm the transaction and the transaction will be automatically completed. iOS 9 will carry forward this automated identification and transaction feature and along with that Apple Pay Wallet can be accessed directly from the home screen of the phone. Moreover, users will also have the option of to choose from any of the cards that have been synced with Apple Pay’s Wallet.
Here is the how you can activate Apple Pay Wallet lock screen feature:
- Go to Settings
- Find out the option of Touch ID and Passcode and click on it.
- Enter Passcode to get access to it and then find out the option Allow Access When Locked and toggle the bar on the side of the Wallet option.
Thereafter, you can access Apple Wallet directly from the locked screen by just tapping twice on the home button, select the card from which you want to pay and authenticate with the help of Touch ID. This feature will become really useful when big departmental stores like JCPenny, Kohl and others will offer special cards for their store.
